The First Lady of  Mexican Cooking is Back!
Mark your calendar for April 19 & 20, 2012 for the visit of Diana Kennedy, Grande Dame  of Mexican Cuisine. We will be celebrating her return and celebrating her newest book, "Oaxaca al Gusto."  This beautiful book is a combination cookbook - coffee table book full of great recipes and incredible pictures of this most fascinating state.  Winner of the James Beard Society award for cookbook of the year last May, this is your chance to snag an autographed copy of this or any one of her other works.

For a limited time we are presenting a collection of gorgeous Italian merchandise, direct from Italy, as part of a national promotion, sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission. Join us and our neighbors to celebrate all things Italian with special events, featured products, and signature dishes during this 2-week long event.

Opening reception November 4, 5:00-9:00 pm. View the merchandise, meet representatives of the Italian Trade Commission, sample fabulous Italian food, taste Italian wines, get in touch with your inner Italian! Italian food and beverage will be provided our neighboring restaurants and shops!

Saturday, November 12.  1:00 - 3:00 pm. Taste and learn!  Extra Virgin, an Olive Ovation will be in the shop for a tasting session of Italian olive oils and balsamic vinegars.  These delectable items will be available for purchase.

After spending 10 years traveling we are unpacking our bags and prospecting in our own back yard.  We hope to take this opportunity to showcase the best local and regional art and fine craft and have named this new venture Close to Home.
